Terms of use

These terms of use (hereinafter – the Terms) govern the use of the website ekredits.lv (hereinafter – the Website) and the client portal operated by SIA "E lats" (registration number 40003482835, hereinafter – the Company).

By using the Website or the client portal, you (hereinafter – the User) confirm that you have read the Terms and accept them in full. If you do not agree with any provision of the Terms, please refrain from using the Website.

The Company has the right to unilaterally amend the Terms. The current version of the Terms is available on the Website. The User is obliged to periodically review the current version of the Terms.

Communication with the Company takes place by telephone 8838, by email info@e-kredits.eu, or using the contact form available on the Website.

The services are provided under special permit (licence) No. NK-2016-047 issued by the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) of the Republic of Latvia. The provision of services may be restricted depending on the User’s credit history and the Company’s credit risk assessment.

Use of the client portal requires registration with a valid email address and password, or authentication with a Google account.

The User is fully responsible for the security and confidentiality of their account. The User is obliged to immediately inform the Company of any unauthorised use of the account.

It is prohibited to transfer access data to third parties, as well as to use other persons’ accounts or impersonate other persons.

The Company has the right to carry out additional verification of the User’s identity using Smart-ID, eParaksts or bank authentication services.

The User may submit a loan application by completing the relevant form on the Website. By submitting an application, the User confirms that the information provided is true, complete and up to date.

Submitting an application does not guarantee that a loan will be granted. The Company carries out a credit risk and solvency assessment and reserves the right to refuse to provide the service without stating a reason.

Providing false or misleading information may result in civil and criminal consequences in accordance with the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia.

Applications are reviewed within 15 (fifteen) minutes on business days from 9:00 to 18:00. Applications submitted outside business hours are reviewed on the next business day.

The Website and the client portal are provided on an "as is" basis. The Company does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability of the Website, operational stability or conformity with all of the User’s needs.

The Company shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages incurred by the User as a result of system downtime, technical problems or interruptions in third-party services.

The Company is not liable for problems with the User’s internet connection or device security that may affect the use of the services.

The Company’s maximum liability shall in no case exceed the service fee actually paid by the User in the last 12 (twelve) months.

All materials on the Website - texts, images, logos, software, design and structure - are subject to the intellectual property rights of SIA "E lats" or are used with the permission of the rights holders.

It is prohibited to copy, reproduce, distribute, publish or commercially use the Website’s materials without the written permission of the Company.

The use of materials for personal, non-commercial purposes is permitted, retaining all copyright and other notices.

Payments for the Company’s services are made in accordance with the concluded credit agreement and the price list available on the Website.

Payments can be made by bank transfer, using integrated payment services (Paysera) or other available payment methods.

Overdue payments may incur additional costs in accordance with the consumer rights protection regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia.

The User has the right to stop using the Website at any time by deleting their client account, except in cases where active credit agreements exist.

The Company has the right, without prior notice, to restrict or terminate the User’s access to the Website if a violation of the Terms, fraud or unlawful activities are detected.

The Terms and their performance are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

All disputes are first resolved through negotiation. If an agreement cannot be reached, the dispute is settled in a court of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with the applicable jurisdiction.

Out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes is provided by the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC), the consumer dispute commission and the European online consumer dispute resolution platform.
